Vast crowds of people trying to head home for Lunar New Year celebrations were stranded at Guangzhou Railway Station, in southern China, after snow and poor weather delayed dozens of trains.
Reports varied on how many people were stuck.
China's state news agency Xinhua said 50,000, while Guangzhou Railway Corp put it at 38,000. And the People's Daily said the crowd was much bigger at one point -- as many as 100,00. Read more on edition.cnn.
