Tackle Room by Room
The idea of cleaning out the entire house is an overwhelming thought and you most likely will not even know where to begin. Before you give up on the task, start small and work your way from room to room.
It's easier to clean up a small room than the entire house at the same time. Plus, you'll be able to have a bigger sense of achievement to motivate you to keep going.
Before you start the actual cleaning process, eliminate clutter from the floor or visible surfaces, such as countertops, desks and tables. Get a few empty boxes ready to sort out things according to their intended purpose, such as those that you wish to donate or throw out.
For items that you want to keep, return them to their rightful places or find a new spot for them. The bottom line: don't just leave them lying on the floor.
Organise your Wardrobe
An organised wardrobe helps to set the tone for organising the rest of your home. Sort through each item of clothing and get rid of anything that you haven't worn in years or probably won't ever wear again. An organised and manageable wardrobe is not only nice to look at, but also helps you to save time dressing up in the morning. Read more on efy.
