Watercolor paint set
No. 2 round brush
No. 0 fine-tipped brush
Watercolor paper or heavy card stock
Drawing gum or white wax crayon
2 water basins, one with soapy water
1.Select the desired size watercolor paper or card stock, and fold it in half to form a blank card. With a pencil, lightly draw a simple heart shape on the front of the card. Include whatever message you would like in the center of the heart.
2.Trace the letters with drawing gum and allow to dry completely (about 20 to 30 minutes). Alternatively, you could use a white wax crayon in place of the drawing gum.
Note: Drawing gum is used by watercolorists to mask off small or large areas to be colored over. When you rub away or peel off the dried gum, your design shows up as the paper color. Because it tends to dry fairly quickly on the brush, I recommend that you dip your paintbrush in soapy water immediately before and after using the gum. If the gum is not removed from the paintbrush, the bristles will clump together and harden, and the brush will be ruined.
3.Dip your round brush in water and brush it over the entire heart. Read more on ehow.
